French fries are a popular snack and side dish enjoyed around the world. It consists of thinly sliced potatoes deep-fried until golden and crispy. It is often seasoned with salt and served with sauces such as ketchup, mayonnaise or cheese.
Ingredients for French Fries
- Potato 5 to 6 or as per your Requirements.
- Mustered oil 200 ml
- Salt as per your taste for Sprinkling
Preparation of French Fries making
Potato Preparation
- Take 4-5 potatoes and wash them thoroughly with water
- Now peel the potatoes and cut them with the help of a French fry cutter.
- Wash the potatoes with fresh water
Soaking the Potatoes
- Take a large vessel from your kitchen and fill it with cold water
- Now put all the cut potato pieces in the water to soak. The soaking time in cold water would be 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes drain the water. Now take a kitchen cloth and let them dry.
First level of Frying
- Take a pan and fill it with about 2 tablespoons of oil.
- Start heating the oil on medium flame. Let the oil heat up. Now add the cut potatoes to the oil for frying.
- Fry them carefully until they turn light brown, but not completely cooked.
- Remove them from the oil.
Second level of Frying
- Please turn the gas to high flame to increase the oil temperature.
- Once the oil get heat again fill all the partially cooked potatoes’ and fry them 2 to 3 minutes until the minutes until they turn into golden brown color and gets crispy.
- Take them out from the oil and kept on paper towels, now and sprinkle with salt immediately.
- Now Serve hot to your love ones with ketchup, green sauce or mayonnaise, or your favorite dipping sauce.
