Ingredients for Pav Bhaji

  • Boiled potatoes – 3 (300 grams)
  • Tomatoes – 6 (400 grams)
  • Capsicum – 1 (100 grams)
  • Cauliflower – 1 cup chopped into small pieces (200 grams)
  • Peas – 1/2 cup
  • Coriander leaves – 3-4 tablespoons (finely chopped)
  • Butter – 1/2 cup (100 grams)
  • Ginger paste – 1 teaspoon
  • Green chillies – 2 (finely chopped)
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Pav bhaji masala – 2 teaspoons
  • Degi red chilli – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1.5 teaspoons or as per taste

Instructions

Step – 1

  • To make pav bhaji, wash the cabbage thoroughly and chop it finely.
  • Put 1 cup water in a vessel and put the cabbage and peas in it and cook it covered till it becomes soft.
  • Peel the potatoes, chop the tomatoes finely and remove the seeds from the capsicum and chop it finely.
  • Check the cabbage and peas, they are soft and ready. Turn off the gas.

Step – 2

  • Heat the pan, add 2 tablespoons butter and melt it.
  • Add ginger paste and green chillies and fry lightly.
  • Now add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, coriander powder and capsicum and mix it. Cover it and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Check the vegetable, tomatoes and capsicum are soft and ready.
  • Now mash them with the help of a masher.
  • Now add cabbage and peas and cook while mashing well.

Step – 3

  • The vegetable is mashed well.
  • Now break the potatoes with your hand and add them to Pan.
  • Start adding salt, red chilli and pav bhaji masala and cook the bhaji for a while while mashing it with the help of a masher.
  • Add half cup water or as required.
  • Make the curry thin and cook it till the curry looks like a smooth mixture.
  • Add some coriander leaves into it and 1 spoon butter to the curry and mix it well. The curry is ready.
  • Take it out in a bowl and garnish it with butter and coriander leaves.

Baking the Pav.

  • Heat a pan on the gas.
  • Cut the pav from the middle with the help of a knife in such a way that it remains connected from the other side.
  • Put some butter on the pan and put the pav on it and fry it lightly on both sides.
  • Take out the cooked pav in a plate and prepare all the pavs in the same way.

Serve and eat hot and tasty pav bhaji.
